This adorable gnome ornament is an easy holiday craft project. Allison, our craft specialist, shows us how she made it.

You’ll need a large pompom for the gnome’s head. Large poms are hard to find in craft stores, so you may need to make your own pompom.
Allison used a wooden furniture button for the gnome’s nose, but a bead or a smaller pompom would also work.
STEP 1

Cut a triangle from felt. Make the size proportionate to the pompom.
STEP 2

Form the ribbon or twine into a loop and glue the ends to the top of one side of the triangle.
STEP 3
Applying glue along one of the angled edges, fold triangle over to form a cone. After the glue dries, trim the bottom if needed.
STEP 4
Attach hat to pompom.
STEP 5
Attach nose.
And that’s it! Hang your ornament on a tree or decorate a package (the recipient will love it).
