SPRING CLEANING CHECKLIST - OUTSIDE YOUR HOME
THAT YARD OF YOURS ISN'T GOING TO PICK ITSELF UP!
Spring cleaning is the time to declutter, organize, and yeah, clean. You tidy the inside of your house to clean after being cooped inside all winter, but what about the outside of your house? Your yard, walkways, flower beds, deck, etc., need some TLC, too!
Here is the checklist I use every year to make sure I: A) stay on track B) don't forget anything and C) get to check things off as I complete them.

Tips/Suggestions to Keep in Mind:
- Keep your lawn thick and lush to help prevent weeds. According to a blog written by This Old House, “The best way to control dandelions and other weeds in your yard is to grow a thick, vigorous lawn. Dense grass crowds out weeds and blocks the sunlight their seeds need to germinate.”
- Make sure you aren’t trimming your grass too short. Check out this blog for more information.
- Have an ugly tree stump, sprinkler system, well head, or any other eyesore you want to cover up this spring? Shop these artificial hollow landscape rocks - they come in either gray or tan and in just about every size you could possibly need.
- Looking to add some color to your yard? Add some decorative stepping stones.
