4 in. x 4 in. post cap inside dimensions: 3-5/8 in. x 3-5/8 in. Fits 3-1/2 in. x 3-1/2 in. posts.
6 in. x 6 in. post cap inside dimensions: 5-5/8 in. x 5-5/8 in. Fits 5-1/2 in. x 5-1/2 in. posts.
Attach post cap to post with exterior-grade construction adhesive. If you choose to seal the post cap, we recommend sealing the entire piece, including the bottom, with a high-quality exterior finish to preserve the wood’s natural beauty. The pressure-treated wood has been kiln dried, so it can be sealed or painted immediately.
