Product Overview

Authentic reclaimed barn wood is awesome except when it has eww bugs, eww mold, eww dirt. UFP-Edge Light Brown Rustic Shiplap has that cool weathered look and nothing eww.

The boards are new, high-grade lumber that's surface distressed, factory primed and coated with low V.O.C. paints. They look just like salvaged barn wood and are safe to put in your home.

With rabbeted edges, the shiplap boards overlap without gaps. Exposed face is 4-5/8 inches. Ends butt together. Wood is kiln dried for less shrinking, swelling and warping. Boards have rough-sawn texture and paint on both sides.

Did we say "rough-sawn texture?" Yes we did. Boards are ridged and roughed up. If you want smooth boards, buy smooth boards so you won't have to spend hours with a sander.

READ THIS ABOUT COLOR: Boards are meant to look rustic. Color can be lighter or darker in areas, because of distressing and wood's natural characteristics. Wood grain and knots might show through on some boards. If consistency is important to your project, we recommend buying at least 10% more boards than you think you need. Embrace imperfection.

DON'T INSTALL THESE OUTSIDE: Nope, just don't. If you choose to do it anyway, you must use a wood protector sealant. Really.

Installation notes: For accent walls, boards can be installed horizontally or vertically on walls and ceilings. Not recommended for flooring or shelving. Use these matching Light Brown Rustic Trim Boards to finish. In bathrooms: Seal boards with waterproof sealer. Try mixing with other Rustic Shiplap colors.
