Product Overview

Make a splashy update to your home with UFP-Edge® Dark Brown Rustic Shiplap. It's a convenient way to add texture plus color to walls or ceilings in one go. The boards give you the look of salvaged wood without the risks of lead paint, mold, and dirt you might get with the real stuff.

Project-ready boards are new, high-grade lumber that's been surface-distressed, factory-primed, and coated with low V.O.C. paint. The rough-textured boards have rabbeted edges - the boards overlap, ends butt together without gaps. Exposed face is 4-5/8 inches. Kiln dried for less swelling, warping, and shrinking.

Boards are rough on both sides. Rough as in ridged and scratchy - full of character, as they say. If you want smooth boards, we recommend you purchase smooth boards instead.

READ THIS ABOUT COLOR: Because of distressing and wood's natural characteristics, some boards might have more light areas, some boards might be darker. Wood grain and knots might show. If color consistency is important, we recommend buying at least 10% more boards than you think you need. Embrace imperfection.

DON'T USE THESE OUTSIDE: If you go ahead anyway, you must use a wood protector sealant, says the manufacturer.

Installation notes: For accent walls, boards can be installed horizontally or vertically on walls and ceilings. Not recommended for flooring or shelving. In bathrooms: Seal boards with waterproof sealer. Square footage (in product specs) are based off exposed board face width.
