Product Overview

UFP-Edge Rustic Charcoal Trim Boards look like authentic salvaged barn wood - but really they're made from new, high-grade lumber, surface distressed, primed and painted to look grizzled. Some people can't tell the difference.

The boards are great for home décor projects - picture frames, hook racks, art.

Be alerted, friends. These boards feel rough. A splinter might come off if you rub them really hard. Wonderful if you want the texture, not so much if you want a satiny smooth surface. We'll all cringe if you buy these rough boards, only to spend hours sanding them down.

NOT FOR USE OUTDOORS: Nope, just don't. If you risk it anyway, you must use a wood protector sealant. Really.

READ THIS ABOUT COLOR: Because of wood's natural characteristics and the distressing, color may vary from board to board. Paint will be worn in some spots, darker in others. Wood grain and knots might show through on some boards. If you want a uniform appearance, we recommend buying at least 10% more boards than you think you need. Even so, you probably won't get perfect consistency. Embrace imperfection.

Installation notes: In bathrooms: Seal boards with waterproof sealer. Shelving: Use with proper support.
