Product Overview
If your monochromatic look's getting a little meh, fix it up by adding interesting texture. UFP-Edge Smoke White Charred Wood Shiplap is perfect for that. Streaks and knots on wood boards are blackened by charring and softened with translucent smoky white.
Board tops and edges are charred and colored, not bottoms. A light satin clear coat protects the surface.
Board sides have rabbeted, square edges for a true shiplap look. Boards overlap, ends butt up together. Exposed face is 4-5/8 inches. 4 boards cover about 12.33 square feet. Boards are kiln dried to reduce warp and shrinkage.
Use colored charred wood indoors - on walls, ceilings and other surfaces. To trim accent walls and projects like kitchen islands, use the matching trim boards.
READ THIS ABOUT COLOR: The level of color and charring varies from board to board because of wood's natural streaks and knots. Some boards may be darker. Color may be brighter in some areas (like around knots). Natural wood shows through. If color consistency is important for your project, we recommend ordering at least 10% more wood than you think you need.
Installation notes: For furniture and installations in high-traffic or potentially wet areas (like a kitchen backsplash, countertop or a bathroom), use a polyurethane sealer. FOR INDOOR USE ONLY.
UFP-Edge Charred Wood is decorative - not for structural purposes. It can be installed on walls and ceilings, vertically or horizontally. Product must be fastened to structural members at a maximum 24 inches on center.
