This petite-yet-deep raised garden bed fits in a 2-foot footprint. Its 21-inch-depth is roomy enough for a small tree, like a Japanese maple. The planter box does not have a bottom so water can freely drain.
No-screws-required assembly: Simply slide the heavy-duty powder-coated galvanized steel corner brackets over the boards (a rubber mallet is helpful). Note that corner brackets sit on top of the ground; a level surface works best.
This raised bed holds 5 cubic feet (37 gallons) of soil. Planting depth is 21 inches. For best results, use potting mix instead of plain ol’ dirt.
