Product Overview
Want a fire pit with more flame and less smoke in your face and clothes? You got it! The Solo Stove Bonfire’s innovative design produces great heat and beautiful flame—with little to no smoke. Enjoy gathering around a roaring fire pit without getting stinging smoke in your eyes! Your friends will like their clothes not smelling all smoky, and your neighbors can leave their windows open without complaint. And this baby generates plenty of heat, so it's great for chilly nights.
Plus, we're throwing in a stand that raises the fire pit off the ground to protect heat-sensitive surfaces like decks and grass. The stainless steel stand is designed to keep the surface under the fire pit cool. You should always use a stand on a wood or composite deck and on green grass. The stand also prevents sand from blocking the lower vent holes. You can store the stand inside the fire pit.
You can burn any wood you find on the ground, so the Bonfire is great for camping. You also get a sturdy nylon drawstring tote so it's easy to carry.
How is the Bonfire smokeless? Solo Stove fire pits are designed to continuously draw in oxygen. As the air is drawn in, it heats up. This hot air is then injected into the top of the fire through interior vents, producing a secondary burn. This hotter fire not only looks mesmerizing, it burns off smoke, making your fire more enjoyable.
Hardwood logs are recommended for optimum efficiency. Designed to maximize combustion airflow, the Bonfire burns wood efficiently, leaving only ultra-fine ash that’s easy to clean up.
You can put the Bonfire unit in an existing fire pit if you leave 2 inches of clearance all around for ventilation.
NOTE: Because of the extremely high temperatures, the stainless steel will eventually discolor. Stainless steel has an increased resistance to rust but isn’t rust proof. Prolonged exposure to harsh weather will increase rust and discoloration but will not affect normal use.
Secondary burn tips:
Don’t stack wood above the upper interior vent holes
Make sure the Solo Stove’s flame ring is placed so it tapers toward the inside of the fire pit and does not block the upper vent holes. The flame ring helps direct the secondary burn toward the interior to burn off smoke.
